YOUR HOLISTIC CARE QUESTIONS

Thank you- each and everyone of you who’ve taken the time to email your positive feedback, comments and questions! Even though books are selling, there can be a kind of author’s void- not knowing how the book is affecting people.

The question I’m getting most often is about pet food. Remember, commercial pet food is not government regulated, therefore, I would never consider feeding my animal anything that wasn’t labeled, “human grade”. I ALWAYS read the ingredients list and would never buy anything with the words: “meal”, “byproducts”, or “sugar” on the label.

I also believe it’s essential to go for nontoxic ingredients when it comes to cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and dish soap...anything the animal is exposed to daily. I get all supplies at either Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods. After reading about the dangers and effects of dryer sheets and laundry softener, I stopped using them both 15 years ago.

Finding a holistic vet in your area is relatively easy through a simple internet search.

As you’ll recall from the book, holistic methods aim at detoxifying the body, mind, and spirit, and then strengthening the body nutritionally so it can do its own healing.

This is different from just using natural remedies in lieu of pharmaceutical drugs to suppress or treat a symptom!!! When searching for a holistic vet, make sure you’re both on the same page regarding this.

Wishing you and your 4-leggeds vibrant health!
